Everyone has the power to create positive change in their own lives, but sometimes help is needed to make it happen. Having a healthy and trusting relationship with your counsellor is key in creating lasting and positive change.
The relationship I build with my clients allows me to identify the appropriate tools and approaches for their particular challenges in life. In my practice I have experience working with clients who struggle with a variety of concerns, including, but not limited to: depression, anxiety, addictions, abuse, loss, hallucinations, eating disorders, divorce, relationship struggles, loss of sense of self, and lack of meaning in their lives. The clients who experience these struggles have come from a variety of cultural and social identities, including those of indigenous descent and those who are members of the LGBTQ+ community.
I would be honored to share in your experiences and worldviews and discuss how we can best facilitate the change you are hoping for in your life.
I look forward to getting to know you!

My approach
Current evidence suggests that the relationship between a client and their therapist is one of the most important factors in success of counselling. I take a person centered approach in my practice, which means working together with you to understand your identity, views, and core beliefs. You can expect a non-judgemental environment where curiosity can be used to gain self insight and experience growth. Working in a space where you feel accepted, cared for, and understood allows you to experience change safely. Utilizing a person centered approach to counselling means we will be using collaborative goal setting and allows for therapeutic planning which incorporates approaches and tools that are appropriate to each individual.

“You don’t have to be positive all the time. It’s perfectly ok to feel sad, angry, annoyed, frustrated, scared and anxious. Having feelings doesn’t make you a negative person, it makes you human.”
